Louisville’s Best: Plehn’s Bakery

Louisville's Best Bakery: Plehns Bakery

Plehn’s Bakery has been serving up extraordinary bread, desserts and ice cream since 1924.

If you haven’t tried their famous spice cupcakes, or their fresh made bagels, breads and doughnuts - then you have never really experienced bakery nirvana! Now, that may sound cheesy, but trust me, the food at Plehn’s is anything but!

Already recognized with a “Best of Louisville” Award, Plehn’s may be the best kept secret Louisville has to offer. I can vouch for this personally - I trusted them enough to have them make my wedding cake!

Not only does Plehn’s do wedding cakes, but they cater large and small events as well! They offer a large variety of soups, salads and deli sandwiches, made fresh every day. They also provide a corporate box lunch service.

The skill, and edible wonders at Plehns really defy description - you just have to try it for yourself! They have a small counter, reminicent of 50’s diners where you can pull up a barstool, and have a fresh fountain drink, a cup of coffee, or some homemade ice cream.

The next time you’re in the area, and are looking for an unbelieveable (and reasonable) place to eat lunch, try Plehn’s. And the next time you plan an event - go to them first! There is no place better!
